The Mock Convention begins mid-afternoon on Friday, Feb. 1 and ends around noon on Saturday, Feb. 2.

How do you get involved?

  1. Serve as a State Chair. Research the politics of your state and recruit delegates to attend the convention. To volunteer as a state chair contact the convention at mock2008@owu.edu.
  2. Become a delegate. As part of a state delegation, you attend the convention to debate the platform and choose the party's presidential ticket. You also can help your state chair create the delegation's banner or mount a campaign to support a particular issue or candidate. To become a delegate click here for map and list of state chairs or contact the convention at mock2008@owu.edu.
  3. Join the convention staff. Work behind the scenes doing just about anything...from building the convention podium, hanging banners, distributing credentials, or filming convention speakers. Everyone's talent is needed and welcomed!
